On waking up in morning

According to Ayurveda, the first thing to do after waking up in morning is to drink water 2 glass of water. It keeps the body active throughout the day and also activates the inside parts. In other words, contributes towards the internal cleaning of the body.

It flushes out all the waste and toxins which get accumulated due to the digestion process.

Before taking bath

Its always suggested as beneficial to drink one glass of water 30 minutes before taking a shower.

Before drinking tea or coffee

Tea and coffee interfere with the ph level of body. Drinking a glass of water before tea or coffee balances the ph level of body and controls the acidity.

Before taking meals

Drinking a glass of water 30 minutes before taking meals improves digestion. But do not drink just before meals as it dilutes the digestive juices.

Also, drink water 1 hour after taking meals to allow the body to absorb nutrients.

During meals

Taking 1 – 2 sip of water in between meals allows the food to digest properly.

Before evening snacks

Drink one glass of water before evening snacks. It will help keep the stomach full and avoids obesity.
